NITAL Training & Development
Executive Summary
Northamptonshire Industrial Training Association Ltd (NITAL) is a charitable organisation founded in 1969. Our original Purpose was to administer and manage the training and development of engineers throughout Northamptonshire, in conjunction with the Engineering Industry Training Board (EITB). This was at he time when employers paid a training levy. NITAL’s role was to help companies administer the training for which they claimed entitlement.
While our core business still encompasses engineering and its associated qualifications, the scope of the training now includes;
NITAL hold a contract with the Skills Funding Agency. We have held similar Government funded contracts since the onset of the ‘Manpower Services Commission’. A number of the organisations we continue to deal with today are founder member companies. We have approximately 300 member companies, which together with our Board of Trustees, help shape, guide and manage the future of our business.
Nital are members of Northamptonshire Training & Development Partnership (NTDP) and our Operations Manager/Company Secretary is a Director of the NTDP. We hold a small contract for ‘Brighter Futures’ and ‘Brighter Futures Plus’ through the NTDP Partnership. NITAL are also members of the EWBTC Consortium – the lead being Mymar Training Ltd and we hold a ‘Train – to – Gain’ contract with them.
Our company head office is based in Corby, Northamptonshire. We currently employ 8 full-time staff. The Operations Manager/Company Secretary oversees the business and reports directly to the Board of Trustees on a regular basis. NITAL is one of the leading businesses to serve the needs and demands of Employers and Learners throughout the region. |
