Abby Phillips - Apprentice Business Administrator
Completed GCSE's at Latimer Arts College in 2016 and decided to continue on with Sixth Form studying for A-Level English Literature and Double BTEC Sport completing this in 2018.
Originally Abby planned to pursue her hobby of cricket at University where she applied for a Coaching & Management course however ultimately decided against this route.
Following this she researched into Apprenticeships as an alternative to university. She was interested in continuing her learning by achieving further qualifications, gaining invaluable work experience all whilst getting paid! Despite not having a Business qualification she knew she would have the support within the workplace to undertake a qualification she hasn't taken before.
After researching apprenticeships she decided that Business was a secure pathway for her to take. She knew that having this experience would open doors for her in the future.
Following this, Abby applied for our Apprentice Business/Training Support position through our website (www.nital.co.uk). She was then invited to attend our compulsory initial assessment.
After a successful assessment and following interviews, Abby was offered the Apprenticeship position at NITAL.
Since joining the company in August 2018 Abby has completed a variety of tasks which include, learning about the OneFile system, contacting candidates, dealing with incoming phone calls, assisting with inductions, attending careers events and arranging initial assessments.
Abby has said that "Choosing an Apprenticeship was the right option for me because I am able to gain confidence within the working environment along with being supported throughout my qualification. It's also a bonus that I'm being paid!"
