Studying with NITAL - Info for Parents & Guardians

Parents & Guardians

NITAL’s learners consistently achieve at rates well above national average and have done so for a number of years not only in the county of Northamptonshire but also nationally.

Having achieved an Ofsted good (grade 2) in December 2016 we continue to offer a level of service unrivalled engineering and manufacturing training provision in Northamptonshire, programme delivery is robust, high quality and monitored for effectiveness .

All students studying with NITAL are given the best opportunity to succeed through strong pastoral support, development at the academy in group sizes of no more than 15, thorough impartial advice and guidance and regular contact with occupationally skilled and competent delivery staff. For those on apprenticeships they will be visited every 4 to 6 weeks in company.

It is essential we understand the levels of our candidates to ensure we match them to the most relevant pathways, either as apprentices or on our full time engineering programme.

All parents and guardians are welcome to visit the training academy to talk to staff and clarify how their son/daughter are progressing.

What can we offer parents & guardians?

We hold an annual awards day where we invite member companies, apprentices and their parents/guardians so we can celebrate the success of the our apprentices and the companies they work for.

We also hold Open Evenings on a regular basis in order to show parents/guardians around the academy to see our facilities. We also have engineering tutors and other members of staff avaliable to answer any questions you might have.

Our office opening hours are Monday Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm so if you have any questions and need to speak to a member of staff we are always avaliable between these times. You can also message us on social media as this is checked on a regular basis.
